After a three-year hiatus the MTV Africa Music Awards 2014 have finally made it back from the wildnerness. Who knows where they were hiding?

Held at the exclusive The Sands night club, nominees were announced by the evening’s hosts TV presenters Sizwe Dhlomo and Nomuzi Mabena and members from various sponsors.

It was a big night for South Africa’s Mafikizolo (4)  Uhuru (4)  Mi Casa (3)  and Nigeria’s P Square (3)  and Davido (3) who all recieved several nominations for their biggest hits in the last year.

Fans will be able watch the ceremony take place in South Africa for the first time when it takes place on 7 June, Durban at the Inkosi Albert Luthuli Centre.
