M-Net Clinches Major Deal With HBO

Multichoice has signed a massive deal with US television giant HBO, which will excite TV series lovers locally.

The South African pay channel is adding a new channel, M-Net Edge to their premium package.This means the channel will screen all first-run HBO series as well as other popular programs from the giant.

M-Net Edge goes live on DSTV’s channel 113 from 20 October 2014 and viewers can expect to see shows such as The Newsroom, Veep, Silicon Valley and The Leftovers to air on their screens soon.

M-Net’s Director, Victor Eckard said in statement that, “The deal with HBO is a great coup for us.Throughout the world, HBO is well-known for its groundbreaking, cutting-edge and superior quality productions.”
