After teasing her comeback on social media pop legend, Janet Jackson has finally released the first single from her long-anticipated album scheduled for an early fall release.
‘No Sleeep’ comes six years after her last single ‘Make Me’ and sees Janet turn to the talents and wisdom of her longtime producers and friends Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis. The singer started working with the veteran producers since her groundbreaking Control album.
The result gives fans a groovy and sultry song reminiscent of the R&B that played in the 90s where Janet coos the words, “You’re missing me, I’m missing you/Whenever we meet, we ain’t gonna get no sleep/When I get to be together with you/It’s fait accompli, we ain’t gonna get no sleep.”
Fans of the singer can also look forward to her Unbreakable Tour, which kicks off in Vancouver, Canada on 31 August.
