The home of SA’s flamed-grilled burger, STEERS, in partnership with the SHOUT foundation has recently launched the SHOUT Burger Combo as a concerted effort to make a Real Difference. The media launch took place over the weekend at the Dainfern Square Steers branch, Johannesburg.
The event was hosted by the bubbly TV personality Ntando Duma. Notable Joburg-based celebrities could be seen in attendance including SHOUT founders Danny K & Kabelo Mabelane, K Naomi, Siyabonga Ngwekazi, former Generations actor Nkuli Tshirumbula, rappers Fifi Cooper & Nadia Nakai who all showed their philanthropic muscle.

SHOUT has established itself as one of South Africa’s most recognizable and credible movements against crime and violence. The foundation has now focused its efforts of combatting the high levels of illiteracy in the country. In a way, their change in approach has seen them focus their efforts towards a more preventative strategy in the areas of combating crime and violence.

The partnership came up with a bold challenge to sell A MILLION SHOUT BURGERS with the aim to raise funds for a noteworthy cause. This cause involves a mission at the heart of the SHOUT foundation which is to build libraries where they are needed most in our communities.

A portion of every SHOUT Burger combo purchase will be set aside to aide in this important and sustainable community building initiative. “Increasing literacy will empower children with the tools they need to learn and succeed. This will enable them to become economic players and active citizens who contribute to the development and growth of the country” said SHOUT founder Danny K.

“These libraries will keep children off the streets, away from crime and accessing information from an essential part of having an educated and literate population,” said Steers Marketing Executive, Adolf Fourie.

SHOUT founders Danny K and Kabelo illuminated the customer experience as they worked behind the Steers counter in their bid to make a Real Difference towards raising funds to build libraries.

The SHOUT burger is available across Steers outlets nationwide.
