Some of South Africa’s biggest hip hop acts hit the road taking a trip like no other from Johannesburg to Durban to kick off the festive season. Aboard the bus was hip hop artist Reason, “Mayo” Hitmaker and Vuzu’s DJ Speedsta, the Major League DJs as well as “Ragga Ragga” artist and new comer Gemini Major.
The #TotallyMjojo roadtrip was powered by Steers and Total who want to encourage the public to travel more by car and really see the beauty of the country they live in. The road trip saw the hip hop stars capturing moments that were Totally Mjojo as they made the journey down to Durban. This included stops at various Total Petroports for meet and greets with fans and it culminated in a media lunch that was held at the trendy Freedom Café in the Durban CBD.
“Travelling is something that I do a lot but I often don’t get to really explore what’s out there. There is nothing greater than getting on a bus with the homies and just taking ride through the country. South Africa is breathtaking, Shoutouts to Steers and Total for hooking this up.” said Reason.
The Totally Mjojo road trip precedes the launch of the Mjojo Campaign which was launched with Reason on the 8th of November. The campaign partnered with curators of cool and popular musicians stars doing well in their spaces to speak to their moments of Mjojo. This included Speedsta, Major League Djs and Gemini Major.
“By going on a road trip, you’re giving yourself an opportunity to see all of Mzansi. That to us in the essence of being #Totally Mjojo. It’s exploring and seeing places. Doing things that are unexpected, creating and capturing moments that are totally Mjojo & living your best life while doing so.” said Steers Marketing Executive, Adolf Fourie.
The Mjojo Combo is available at select Total Petroports and Steers outlets nationwide.
