Corona Rounds Up Their SunSets Festival Must-Haves

Corona Fest

Jozi, are you ready to experience the magic that a sunset holds at the Corona SunSets Festival?

With the festival countdown heating up to Saturday, 1 April, a thrilling music experience is on the horizon at GROUND, the festival venue in Muldersdrift. Music fans are no doubt gearing up to support their favourite DJs that will be spinning the decks on the Crown and Griffin Stages. We are talking about the big names here: Robin Schulz, Gorgon City, Black Motion, Timo ODV, Sketchy Bongo, and Aewon Wolf, to name but a few.

Knowing that preparation is key to keep the fun-loving spirit of music fans going strong, the Corona SunSets team have put together their top festival tips.

Check them out:

A comfortable carry-on
Nobody wants to look less than cool while strutting their stuff at one of the hottest festivals to hit town, right? However, having a nifty small pouch that you can wear conveniently close to your body or around your hips will ensure your wallet, lip balm, sunnies, mobile and other essentials are safely stored.

Speaking of your phone …
Make sure your cell phone is fully charged before you head to GROUND. You don’t want to miss out on documenting your favourite DJs in action, or get lost in the crowd if your friends are out of sight and you definitely need to keep in the green-zone to book your Uber ride home. If you can, charge a mobile power bank and take it with you to top up your phone battery when needed.

Ditch the heels – go for comfort
Ladies, if you are planning to dance your heart out, rather leave those high heels at home and put on a set of comfortable shoes. The same goes for the guys: don’t wear shoes that are too tight that could chafe your feet.

Sun savvy, not sunburn
Don’t ditch the sunscreen – especially if you are going to be soaking up some pre-sunset sunshine. To curb that all too familiar burnt nose look, take some inspiration from festival loving celebs like Kylie Jenner and Ian Somerhalder and consider wearing a cap or gorgeous wide-brimmed hat.

Hydration is key
We know you will be celebrating with a Corona in hand, but don’t forget to stay hydrated with some much needed H20. Dancing is thirsty work – plus it can cause loss of electrolytes and potassium, leading to possible muscle cramps and weakness. So, keep an eye out for water points. If you are going to sip an alcoholic drink or two, preferably alternate with a drink of water in between.

Safety first
Drinking and driving is a no-no, and since there will be ice-cold Corona’s on offer you don’t want to be the teetotaller! Say goodbye to Designated Dave, because Corona have teamed up with Uber and Select-A-Shuttle! First time Uber riders get R100 off their trip using the promo code: CoronaSunsetsZA, or head to https://selectashuttle.co.za/tickets to book your seat from Fourways, Northgate and Paulshof.
